Editorial Review of Heart and Science - A Story of the Present Time
Wilkie Collins was an English novelist, poet, and playwright writing in the mid 19th century. His was very popular; writing 27 novels, 50 short stories, 15 plays and over 100 poems. His best-known works were The Woman in White, The Moonstone and Armadale. Collins was greatly influenced by his friend Charles Dickens. Dr Ovid Vere was about to leave for the Mediterranean when he spotted a beautiful girl. He followed her to a concert where she fainted. While the physician was helping her he found out she was his mother's Italian niece. She had arrived in London after the death of her father. That moment changed both of their lives and from that moment on the complications of their lives would trouble and entangle them for a long time.
